PROFESSIONAL OVERVIEW

Since high school, almost every professional position Patrice has held did not exist until she created it or it was created for her!

She was a B2B computer software installer for a custom programming house when the field was new and growing; she was the director of a not-for-profit she developed and was the first director of a small community philanthropic organization and she was the first public relations and partnerships  manager in a major library system in Florida. Within these the and other positions she led and developed many new projects and programs during her 25 years+ experience in public relations and program and training and development.

United States Peace Corps Response Volunteer,  2012-2011, Tbilisi, Republic of Georgia,  Ministry of Environment Protection 

Public Relations Advisor: developed trainings and projects including first environmental journalism competition in Georgia.

United States Peace Corps Volunteer,  2009-2006, Bitola, Republic of Macedonia (MK), Municipality of Bitola, http://bitola.gov.mk

Successfully assisted Macedonians at organizational, small group and one-on-one levels in the areas of economic and entrepreneurial development.  Developed film commission.  www.filmlandbitola.org   Organized and mentored rural tourism projects in village of Dihovo, resulting in village’s inclusion in Lonely Planet Guide Western Balkans.  http://chrisdeliso.com  Co-wrote € 600,000/$860,000 European Union infrastructure grant for elderly care facility in Municipality.  Received Peace Corps/USAID grant for first public art mural in Bitola.  Presented numerous original workshops on public relations, change, and personal and professional growth. One of only 425 people over the age of 50 to serve annually in the Peace Corps worldwide.

 

Public Relations & Partnerships, General Manager,  2006-1995, Tampa-Hillsborough County Public Library System (THPL), www.hcplc.org 

Member of executive management team for System with 2006 budget of $33 million. Built first public relations department including development of policies and procedures. Presented library message and story to public, businesses, governmental agencies and community organizations through media, special events, cable television programs, speaking engagements, publications, displays and community/trade shows resulting in dramatic increases in exposure and heightened awareness to all audiences.  Cold-called and networked prospects to develop corporate and community partnerships. Designed adult programming at system-wide level and organized multiple new initiatives with full creative and project management responsibility including, in many cases, funding. Awarded numerous local, regional and national PR honors for team and individual projects. Oversaw administration and provided staff support for Friends of the Library and volunteers. Active at state, regional and national level in professional organizations.
